You definitely need to replace the floppy drive with a cf reader. You will praise yourself down the line. I never dealt with a SCSI cd drive for the mpc. I just use my pc to transfer any wav file from a cd to my cf card, then use it in the mpc (i hope that made sence)

I dont know where to get the cd that akai included from the factory. My joint cam with a red zip disc sampler.
