Mpc 2000 XL card reader

go to mpcstuff...a mcd reader is about $150 dollars ..which is about £75 in tha uk !

yeah,I would.....one beat,one zip,the backup on laptop....also I haven`t had any problems with my zip.
even my harddrive was less reliable,that piece of crap!!!

i have 3 drives. this is one of them. addonics is one and the akai mcd is the other. this drive works on mine. but i have the golden mpc apparently. cause nobody else has one that writes.

lunatic, what OS are you running...i got the addonics one(the same one everyone else can't write with, but on the other posting you said yours works...just wanted to see if its the OS at all)

ok, so i tried to install the mcd from addonics today....and it says "no floppy device" . does this mean its not working or did i just not install it right? please let me know. i don't wanna deal with addonics returns.

Your the only one who knows if you installed it right so you should be able to figure out why it doesn't work. Check your ribbon cables and dip switches.

everything is lined up and plugged in fine...the mcd even lights up but the MPC wont read it...guess its gonna be returned

i ordered and it was $150 for MCD + plus shipping $10 bucks......
included all needed cables, installation guide,
1GB card with 60mb of Sounds and 1.20 operating system .....

i got mine from vst too, but i didnt get OS 1.20 or sounds.. but i did get a 2gb CF card..

The guys at VST are pretty cool.... and they have alot of extra Shizzle for my AKAI gear..
