Thanks guys. I appreciate it.

I used Rustoleum metallic spray paint on the casing. For the buttons I used Behr Premium Plus paint from Home Depot. They look good but I'm wondering how it will look over time. I didn't use a clear coat on either but I probably should have on the casing.

Yeah, I'd thought about that too. I think it would be better. At least this way I'll know my way around it pretty quickly.

The guy before had it painted red and had written above some of the buttons with a Sharpie which is the main reason I redid it. The paint looked good but that killed it. I'm changing out the cursor and slider knob too. The slider on it looks retarded and the cursor sticks because he had it painted too.

Yeah, what ever happened to Son... Sonsee? whatever his name was.

Did the powder blue get the best of him??

I figured he'd be cookin up some hotness in that new kitchen of his.

Anywho. I'm bein slow, but should have a 4K and 2KXL chromed with wood caps soon.
Pretty self explanitory.... shouldn't be hard to picture.

Thinkin I might snatch some of those transparent pads from MPC Stuff for those. Might look cool on the Chrome.

My package of letter stamps (amongst other hardware) arrived last week. At the rate I'm going it'll be a month until that's done, another week for touchup paint then who knows how long to get the wood cut and stained.

Just a teaser...

Any pics of the process you can show? Sounds like it'll be awhile til it's done

I wanted to keep it all under wraps but since it's taken so long the mystery has been ruined even for myself...

Stripping, a brave move:

Testing wood stain:

A whole lot more to come. Actually, it's "finished" as in aesthetically modded and looks fairly good but I am not going to show it off until I achieve my ultimate goals.
