I got my microtech 47b from sunnking. Luckily I had an old SCSI PCI card in an old PC. Hooked up the card reader and ugraded the firmware to 3.2 with Win 2000 OS. Works like a charm.

card reader works like a charm.

I ordered that 5 GB PCMCIA card for it, we'll see if it works.

It's pretty sweet....

I have heard that there are memory size and/or file number limitations for the MPC. Is there any truth to this? If so, what are the limits?

Maybe your jumper settings aren't set right on the card reader.

yea tried different jumper cable settings with no luck

also i just noticed that my fc reader is a pcd 50b, not a 47b which the firmware update is for, could this be the reason? if so has any1 heard if the 50b is compatible with the mpc? & if so can any1 point me in the right direction 2 get firmware updates 4 that, have searched everywhere & cant find anything

many thanx

just wanna know if any1 has had success insyalling the pcd 50b? am just about ready 2 fork out more money for a 47b, this flash card reader installation has already cost me over $200 & im a broke student :(
