MMC from 2kxl to sonar6

Hey, any one using a 2kxl as a master for sonar 6? I can get sonar to act as a master for the mpc but I would like to use the mpc's transport controls to control sonar and use the sonar soft synths as well as the SONAR insturment definitions for my outboard synths.

my signal path would go like....
mpc midi out >sonar midi in
sonar midi out> ms2000r thru to trinity rack input (both outboard racks)

MPC settings midi out, using midi clock and set to send MMC
Sonar to recieve midi clock and MMC

for some reason the MPC play button will work to start everything... but stop, rec, and foward/rewind buttons are not responsive.


I searched for some posts but did not find a clear answer.......

Am I missing something?

P.S my friend uses a MV8800 and has a similar issue.
