Hello to all you pad hitter!! ^
As you can see on your left i'm Mugen from France. And since i'm having a few problems fully understanding the manual(which is in English), i was wandering if anybody could tell me if it's possible on a 20000XL: to record (a piano line for exemple) with an external device while a sequence is playing/recording ???

A friend told me about an "Audio In" command he used on his 500... didn't find it on mine.
Do only the new mpc's have this feature??

On 2k and 2kxl sequencer cannot be played when sampling.

When you sample on 2k and 2kxl you cannot do anything else.

Sample in, while the sequencer runs/records, and you can hear your sample input? R U sure about that?

Yes, I know what the topic of this thread is talking about, but what dopedee posted looked like he was talking about recording a sequence. Re-read the thread from the beginning and see if you see what I saw. Key word from dopedee's post is "this and...stop and go, stop and go" So my responce was to dopedee only, not Mugens topic.

yes but you read my post wrong as well, i am talking about on the xl, say i have my drums recorded and the seq is playing, now with the seq playing i want to add a shaker ... i would have to hit stop, then hit record and start recording. I was referring to being able to have my seq playing and hit the record button, with it still playing and record a new track. I do this on my room mates 1k/2.5k no problem.

I read it correctly and you are wrong. There must be something wrong with your XL because mine does that just fine. Even my homies regular 2000 (which I learned on) does this. Maybe you need to check your OS or something, but I never have this problem. I start with recording my snare and right after the last snare before the beat loops around, I hit track up real quick and start recording my kick on a separate track without stopping the beat, and do the same thing to record the hat. I rarely ever stop the beat while I am making it. The only time I really ever stop the beat is to fine tune my chops or start recording on a new sequence or to f*ck with the drum swing.
