I had an MPC2000xl awhile back and use to just save to floppies. I just got another MPC2000xl with an external zip drive and want to save to that.
how do YOU save your beats to an external scsi zip drive? a friend of mine told me he does this.
names his beats JH 1, JH 2, JH 3, etc... then he names his sounds a1, b1, c1 for JH 1 and a2, b2, c2 for JH 2 an so forth. He said he saves .APS ans ALL Songs and Seqs.
He told me if you don't have a system of naming them, when you go to pull up your beats later, it will mix up sounds from different beats if not labeled properly.
i read you can make folders with a scsi zip and MPC.
what is the best way to save your beats and keep shit organized when you want to pull it back up???
thanks!
