why does my mpc not read some of my floppys?

i have a 2000xl and i load my drum samples from da floppy, but i been having a problm because everytime i put my samples on the floppydrive offa my computer and load them into the mpc it always says unknown file or something like that when i try to select the sample..i'm begining to think its just my ext floppy drive thats messing this up because i used to have a internal one in my other computer and the floppys that i have from that read just well on the mpc..but i dont understand because all the files are wav, they should read just fine in the mp...someone help please.

First format your floppy then load drums onto floppy and see it work.

Yeah, I'd try formatting the floppy in the MPC first. Then take it to the computer and do a drag and drop.
