Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have a second hand 2000xl, and the pads seem to have lost their sensitivity. Using padchk, a firm strike on any of them maxes out around 60-70, needs a heavy bang to get to the 80-90 range. I'm worried and curious about this, the pads work fine on full level but I just need the velocity especially for drums, I don't want to have to reprogram every single note after sequencing it's too tedious. Does this simply mean the pads/sensors are old and worn out? What options do I have to solve this? Can anyone help me out, would really appreciate any ideas or info about this. Thanks.

Good lookin man, I noticed that the pad set on mpcstuff have a hole in the center, but mine doesn't, is there any difference at all between the two?

Well I checked out the sensors on it, and apparently the ribbon which connects the sensors to the board has burnet conductors, more than 70% of them are brown/brown-ish. Guess I was right to have ordered a set from mpcstuff. Thanks for the help.
