just thought of something..
if you set up your 64 tracks with one 16th note on each x 4 pad banks and make a one bar sequence you can use track mutes to do x0x style live sequencing with 4 different sounds. Then use 2nd sequence to have a background beat or whatever...

Actually someone posted it here a while ago. I haven't bookmarked the thread, only the site. But funny if you thought of it yourself independently

have tried this before. its quite handy for quick programming, but slightly limited cause then all your tracks are used up so what more can you then add?! (i know you suggested 2nd seq, but thats pretty limited)

you're right - i wouldn't use this for actual programming, but i did have a lot of fun doing some acid jamming in the early hours of the morning with my mc202
