I want to know the all around best means for saving and loading on the 2000xl. Ive had my mpc for about 8 yrs. and im just now making the transition away from Zip discs. To many memory loss disasters, hours and hours of work lost. :( Now i want to hear from all the real MPC heads. Whats the most dependable. Whats the fastest. What do you guys use. Does anyone have an unusual or creative way of saving their data. Come on fellas, lets talk.

Fastest will always be a SCSI hard drive. Best, most dependable, quietest, most cost-effective is a media card drive, either internal or external.

You mean to install into an MPC2000XL? That won't work for a couple of reasons. First, the drive pulls too much power. Second, an internal 3.5" SCSI drive would put out too much heat for inside an MPC.

The only internal HD installs I've ever heard of for an MPC2000XL involve a 2.5" laptop IDE drive with a SCSI-to-IDE adapter card.

You want a SCSI HD, you need to plan on an external HD.
