Gettin rid of that hiss when sampling from vinyl?

How can i get rid of that hissing sound when i sample from vinyl? It gets on my nerves(it's not the old record sound.) I dont like sounding like a bother, but i do have one more, when i save to the zip disk & reload, the sound is a bit distorted & has more hissing than the original sample, y is that or better yet how can i fix it? are there different tips & tricks to fix this? Thanks!

if you are running your turntables thru a mixer of some sort then I suggest cutting down the highs a little. It will get rid f some of the crackles and hiss. You can then dump that shit in soundforge and use a noise reduction plugin or try to eq it more...

Try a knotch filter. Or if you have waves X-Noise this works. Cheaper is Steinbergs Clean. Magix has something but can't remember the name but it is cheap also. Some one said CEP that will definatly do it.
