ok.. check it out... i got a nice deal on my MPC2k... so i cant complain... but when i went to the sampling mode... the soundfonts are not displaying properly... i barely get to see the wave... thats a problem when im chopping shit up... everything else shows up nicely on the screen... what should i do?

you sure its not just a quiet sound? the screen hasn't got the best resolution for looking at waves and quiet waves are therefore compromised and look more like lines....
sample something at full volume until it clips and see if it takes up the whole window..

How big is the sample? If it is long like more that 4 secs the wave will be really little. Also bring up gain turn off threshold in sampling, turn up time, turn that ish to MONO to save space and if you got the 8- outs and are usin them.

do like the rest of us (real us)

vynil, old records, lots of time...

drum cds are cool, if you want sounds people have rocked to heck already.

if u want ill dope, dusted drum sets, hit the crates

i jus had a thread up for this question. turned up my gain on my dj mixer and it made the wave way bigger. i supose the gain on the mpc would work fine too??? havent really messed with it since i turned up the mixer gain. peece
