'sup all!
so yeah, I'm not quite new to the MPC but haven't used it in my rig in years! I use an Elektron MDUW as my master clock and sequencer. Yeah, yeah, I know this seems heretical to some of you but... so what! Its how i do it!
So anyway, I want to use my 2000xl as a repository for samples ONLY and to trigger them using the pads on the MachineDrum. I have a somewhat complicated MIDI rig with 5 synths all synced to the MD, but I've successfully added the MPC to the chain and all is synced (e.g. when i start the MD it also starts the MPC and all other instruments are active).
However, once I save a sample into the MPC, well... I had imagined that same sound could be "played" from the Machinedrum, but it aint happenin' like that...not sure what I'm overlooking/missing.
anyone else got a similar set-up? doesnt have to be a Machindrum set up but, even someone who is using a controller keyboard to play samples from their MPC might be able to give some insight as to what I'm blind to?
appreciated
