2000xl encoder specifications

A friend of mine has a 2000xl and the past few days the encoder has busted, he has a show at the weekend and needs a new encoder, so getting one sent from the US is out of the question as it will take at least a week to get here.

He has asked me to borrow my mpc but I am not too keen (mine is very nice condition SE2 which is not used outside my studio, his is road battered 2xl) and I am using mine at the weekend anyway, so I said I would fit a new encoder for him, problem is I don't know the spec - anyone know which make and spec it is so I can order it from an electronics supplier here in the UK.

I have one here, but can't tell you any specs, as there are hardly any markings on it. Maybe try e-maling VST service?

Thanks, but I managed to fix it now so don't need a new one, phew!

I just resoldered the joints and it was ok, think it was a dry joint.
