Some MPC 2000 XL Questions

I am going to purchase a 2000XL and was wondering:

* Does the XL have any effects without the EB16 effects card?

* Should I purchase some kind of a mixer to go with the MPC?

* How do you guys use your floppies/zips to save/load stuff ? ( ie. Kicks on one ZIP, Snares on another ).

Here are the answers to your questions as best as I can explain.

1. No... you'll have to purchase the effects card if you want to use internal effects.

2. The purchase of a mixer will be determined on how you plan on using your XL. I would need more info on exactly how you plan on setting up your gear and also what gear you currently own or plan to use in the future. Sorry if this answer does not help you.

3. Your use of floppies/zips is all personal preference. I personally use some zips for different kits. Then I save all songs and files on a seperate disc with song data. Someone else my do things differently. It's basically up to you.
