Need help quick...

does the mpc2000xl have a "note on" feature like the mpc1000 where you hold a pad to play the sample and when you take your finger off the pad the sample will stop playing...

I mean note repeat...

Tap tempo is your note repeat

Hold hold tap tempo / note repeat and the pad you want.

actually bro to do that you need to go to params and put the sample from poly to note off. then when you pres the pad itll play till you let it go. note repeat will just repeat the sample at the rate that the time feild displays.

i was thinking you were speaking of doing the southern style drum thing that has been popular which is done with note repeat and 16 levels by some and with just note repeat by others.whichever one you are trying , now you know how.
