How do I connect my korg triton to my MPC 2000xl????

I know...I know...It's a stupid question, but I need your help...

Trying to get my korg triton to play through midi on my MPC 2000xl. Read the manual, connected the cords, and still not working. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME UNDERSTAND IT BETTER?????

This gets answered at least 5 times EVERY day.

Midi in out
midid out in

set up midi tracks on mpc to correspond to the midi tracks on triton

triton program mode
mpc midi track same device number as triton program midi #
triton slave
mpc master 29.97 -30 frames

You can figure out the rest.

I have an Extreme and 2kxl. I answered this many times in full, please search.
