not in the manual... can this be done?

I want my mpc to give me two measures of lead-inwhen I hit record to get into my tempo, rather than just one.

To rephrase, instead of 4 taps then start, I want 8 taps before the recording starts.


is it possible?

Im not 2 sure if you can get an 8 count, is it hard 4 u with a 4 count?

amazingly enough almost every other sequencer i have you can adjust this on. the xl. not so much.

I think and compose in measures of 8, the 4-beat lead in kinda throws me off.



when you want to start at 160+ it helps to fine-tune.





It would be sweet if there was a way to mod the 2000xl to have a light blink as the metronome.

Like an SP 404? U should give youserlf a 4 count then press the rec/overdub and follow it with its 4 count so you have an 8 count metronome

just take off the count in for rec+play

add two bars with only like a hi hat recorded at the beginning. problem solved.

edit: i just noticed you said you want to start at "160+" so my suggestion will probably be useless unless its the beginning of a sequence.

YES you can do this. put time signature on 8/4 and then for the 4 bar standard use 2 bars instead.

Yeah, the metronome count-in is all based on the time signature of the bar.
