Midi Question

After only using samples on a MPC 2000xlfor nearly 6 months, I decided to buy a Clavia Nord Rack 1 to add some synth to my beats.

only now, after hooking everything up, I've got some problem. my current setup is:

- MPC MIDI In 1 <-> Nord Rack MIDI Out
- MPC MIDI In 2 <-> M-Audio Oxygen 8 MIDI Out
- MPC MIDI Out <-> Nord Rack MIDI In

The Jack Outs of both the Synth and the MPC are connected to a Mixer.

Now sequencing the Nord Rack is working perfect, I just go to the field right of "S:" in the Main Screen, and set it to "MIDI : 1A-Device01".

The problem is, I can't seem to make Sequences with both Samples and Synth. Everytime I try to do this, all my pads with play samples and synth tunes at the same time, and I can't seem to shut either one of when I'm editting the Program.

Could anyone please please explain how to do this? Is there anyway to make the pads play samples in a program, and use the Oxygen 8 to trigger the Nord Rack in the same program?

I don't think its possible.

it depends on what the the select "track" is set to - MIDI/DRUM
