Ok
Id like to take drums, snare, cymbals, etc from a record but what is the best way of doing that?
And what is the best way to put it in a bank.

2nd question is what if i want drum and stuff form a different record but i wanna mix it up with the other ons i sampled from a record ?

1. just go to the sample screen and hit record right before the drum hit plays and hit stop right after. i usually turn the record gain up so when the drum hits it goes to about the 'r' in pre-rec on the mpc screen. then from there go to trim screen and trim it up so its just the drum sound.

the best way to put it in a bank is to just go to programs and assign.

2. just put them in the same program or use 2 different programs.

read ur manual son on some honest shit.

Set your threshold to lower than the volume of the first hit but higher than the ambient noise, set the sample time to longer than the length of the sample you want, hit record, drop the record, press stop when the sample ends, or if sampling a loop, at the start of the next bar. This method will reduce or eliminate trimming.

thanks man

Before confusing yourself with all these other "multiple ways of doing things" you should get your basics down first (yes, I'm talking about the manual, read it, do what you read about and stuff will become clear), build a foundation, u moving ahead of your skill level.

You could have answered first if you had gotten into the manual though.
