MPC 2000XL crashs everytime (ugkly noise) :(

Hello everybody,

For a couple minutes I wanted to finish my MPC-Beat, but evrey time when record with the sequencer the mpc makes ugly noises and crashs :(

And dont know why.. :( does anyone knows, what I can do?

90% of the time it's the RAM chips. Try taking them off and use your MP with the on board 2MB. If it doesn't crashes anymore, you need to buy a couple new chips.

thank you so much kebzer! what ram chips do you mean, are they the normal -computer/PC ram chips?

They are actually the same as some old PC ram chips. Don't remember the spec but you can find them easily somewhere in here. All I know is that you swap them for under $10, which is pretty fair. :wink:
