SAVING OS ON 2000XL???

I've recently had my xl crash, so i downloaded the OS from akai's site onto a zip disk. Now everytime i power-up, i had to load the OS again. I'm sure there is a way to save the new OS, but it doesn't seems to work for me. Any solutions?...

i dont know if its the same deal, but with my classic 2000, i always have to put the disk in with the os

when you turn it on, are all the lights lit-up? If so then I guess it's okay...
