Another Dumb Ass Question But Help Out

Do i need midi cables to send the beats i made on the 2000 to the computers

I'm looking at these ones...are they the right one...

MIDI cables do not send any audio information to your computer. Only 1s and 0s I believe. MIDI is used to communicate between other instruments, but there is never any audio exchanged only data. So if you built beats on your MPC and you want them on your computer you have to record them with standard instrument cables from the audio outs

You can however use the 6 or 8 outs (depending on the MPC or two if you have a 500, etc) and track them out even faster if you have enough audio inputs on your sound card.

Hopefully this helps some. I also like how you admitted this is a potentially dumb ass question.... this will keep people atleast from hating. HAHAHA, but it actually is a good question if you don't know what MIDI is.

You have to have an interface too.... do you have a sound card for recording? Because otherwise it might just be pointless to try to record to your computer.

Yeah it will work, but it will probably be pretty low quality..... so your beats might sound like garbage when you bounce them down like that, but try it and see how it works. Atleast for now you could demo stuff out like that.
