Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey there all, sorry to be a nuisance but my machine is playing up again.

I first did a little search to see if there was any similar problems. I then tried the solutions but to no avail...

You see, I put my boot disk into the 2000 Classic, turn it on and it doesn't boot the machine up. Instead it has a blank white screen and all the LEDs are lit up.

Sometimes, the machine will actually turn on but then when I load some samples and start to play around with the pads, eventually the bugger crashes and sometimes there is an ugly noise.

So at first I replaced the floppy drive but the problems still persisted. I then decided to take the 32MB RAM out and try it without that, as of around 30 minutes ago I've had no luck.

Can anyone help? Oh and is there a guide for installing RAM with pictures anywhere because I can't remember which way the sides with the black box thingys had to face  ?

Thanks in advance, IllRhythm
