Connecting MPC 2000XL to Reason 4.0

I just bought an MPC 2000xl a few days ago and I am still trying to figure out how to connect it to my computer for use with Reason 4.0. I have a micro Korg connected to the MPC with midi cords, then the MPC is connected to the computer via a MIDI to USB cord. This is probably incorrect how I have it connected and I was wondering if anybody could help me with this issue. I searched for the MPC in preferences in Reason, but it didnt show up which leads me to believe that it is connected incorrectly.
