Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

OK,

Whenever I load or sample a sound the right channel seems to have a fuzzy aftersound. Similar to when something is bit crushed. It is only on the right and happens with every sample...

Any others out there with that problem?

No but could be the right insert might be loose/cracked or the inside maybe be dirty and you need to clean it with some proper solution. Might fix the problem.

This is from my other post......The ram sticks are 2 16mb ....I replaced them with a 32 mb simm , i removed all ram and the problem persisted. I cleaned contacts and it seemed to improve a bit but my output board ( not 8 but original.. ) was a bit dirty so I cleaned it with q tip and alcohol.. It seems to have improved doing these steps .. But it is still there.. Could it be OS related? Also I was using MPC PGM made programs at first ... Raw wavs seemed to have less of the problem..

Akai has some of the more stable OS I've worked with ( I am a drum machine/sequencer nut and I've made music on many. ) I doubt it's OS related.
Cleaning things would've been the first step. Most folks say they love their gear but don't view cleaning as necessary maintenance. That's str8 sacriliege!

Your problem seems a little more complicated than for knowledge. I would call Akai tech support at this point and/or the store you bought the unit from (if feasible). Good luck man....
