Hello, this is my first post - I just wanted to start with a thank you to this board in general for being a huge help recently with flash drive installation solutions... I kind of quietly observed and read the posts and it works so thanks for that!
My problem now is a faulty pad - it's just the top right one. Everything else seems to be okay. What I was wondering was, apart from cleaning (which I haven't properly or rigorously tried yet), would a pad sensor plate (the sticky one under the rubber pads) for a normal 2000 work in an XL? I have an ancient 2000 which is completely beyond repair so I use it for spares - I was just wondering if this may work too...
Cheers in advance for any help - I can't really find much out about this one... Worst comes to the worst, it's not too bad just having one pad that doesn't work but it's annoying for using old programs as that pad can't be used properly.
