ok , so here's the deal, I am running a new Macbook with just ableton live on it running through parallels, but i just got pro-tools and an MPC 2000xl. Basiclly what I want to do is be able to chop and sequence samples and things efficiently from my computer(not using the mpc), and do all the drum programming on the mpc and sync it up with the computer, as well as mayb use some vst's here and there all in pro tools. so yea I am looking for any suggestions that anyone might have that could help me set this up, because as of now Im totally lost. If anybody could help me make this happen or give me some tips, I'd really appreciate it.
thanks,
Adam

Chop sounds in program of your choice then transfer to MPC using media of your choice (zip, floppy, card reader etc.). Use the MPC as your main sequencer and track out audio into pro-tools. If you want to control vst's with the MPC you need a midi cable going from the MPC midi out to the input of a midi interface(most external soundcards will have midi as well).

hmm that sounds like it may work, i really like just choppin samples straight off the computer and leavin the mpc out of it though, cuz i really just wanna use the mpc as just a drum machine
