Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Waasup all
im rocking the 2kxl. Im using a fair bit of simult (manual pp.119-120)

(mainly to have blank pads B1-16 - no sounds on them) to trigger a samples another pads A1-16, and drums or soemthing on another another pads D1-8/1-16)

and am quite happy with it all.
Ons issue i have encoutered though, is that the properties f the pad i hit (specifically the decay) seem to be transferring to the other pads. This is a bit annoying because I usually set some decay on my hihats (D3, D4) but when I trigger them through "simult" - with B2, B4, B6, B8 etc they default to no decay (the quality for the B pads)

so this can be of general use - I also note the same thing hapopens if i change pitch in the B pads (and i assume attack or filter)

My question then - soory for the long intro:
is there a way i can use simult but not make settings for the pad i hit be applied to the other sounds

peacea
