The greatest strenght

Of the MPC 2000XL.

The 500s strength is it's portability.

Some would say the classic 60 has the superior sequencer.

I could go on about other models but what about the 2kxl

All around ease of workflow.

2000xl has the most features out of all the earlier generation mpc's and its the easiest out of the old mp's to mcd"ize" and bring it more into the modern world.

a lot of people swear up and down by the 3000 because of the sound but i've yet to witness that for myself.

and the 60 its pretty much in the purist category or people that want that grittier 12 bit sound

it's superb midi sequencing. I have never used one but that is what producers swear by. Maybe the are just so fond of those early machines that they feel the urge to show roger linn much gratitude.

It is the only MPC that has features out of every other. And it is by far the easiest machine to make beats on. Out of all other MPC's.

The 60/3000's sequencer would be more comparable to a SP1200 the way it lays the kicks tight but still loose type of feeling it's hard to explain but the sequencer is what i see makes the biggest difference between all these MPC's not the sound.

The famous Roger Linn swing every 3000 and 60 owner advertises all the time.

I love my 2000xl, it let's me be creative and work. I hate using equipment that puts barriers between my creativity and the machine. Simplicity is all i ask for. Software, at times is very handy and offers unlimited possibilities but i just find myself so distracted by it all. I lose focus on my work and in the end my music suffers.
