Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Im super new to the MPC but have a lot of experience making sampled and sequenced music with software. One thing I am not understanding is when certain drum samples are loaded into the MPC memory, randomly some samples will load with loop mode ON. Now what this does it causes the sound to only trigger during the duration im holding the pad and loops over and over again while holding it down. I can manually change the setting of the sample in the TRIM menu. Is there a way to have the MPC automatically always load things without this pesky loop mode flagging on randomly? Can anyone answer on why certain sounds behave this way?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. i tried my best to search the forums for this but couldnt find anything. Thanks folks. I love the forum and hope to be able to help some other n00bs eventually.

I am sorry to dissapoint you, but no, you cannot change that setting without going in the TRIM mode. I know, it's pretty damn annoying, but the responsibility lies in the part of the original maker of the pgm/drum sound.

However, it's good that you figured that out by yourself that soon. I used to trigger such drums about 5 months until someone told me how to switch the loop mode off.

these are your own samples you had previously saved and then loaded or samples your loading from like sample disk you bought??

i dont use sample program disks but i think thats what it is. if they originally had the loop set on when the disk was made thats how its gonna be when you load em off those disks.

you just have to unloop em everytime you load em.
