Is it possible to switch back to OS 1.14 from 1.20??

I've recently installed a card reader on my MPC so upgraded the OS to 1.20, I'm now having problems with the screen freezing while scrolling through the load menu, I've tried a couple of different card readers and installed some new ram but the problem is still there, is the next step to re-install OS 1.14? is that possible? Thanks.

Yes it is possible. A lot of people on here run with 1.14 and use card readers.

I've tried installing 1.14 and now the MPC wont recognize the card reader, any ideas?

Hmmm, i'm not too sure mate. I bought my drive from mpc-stuff and it worked fine, although I installed 1.20 from the floppy drive before I replaced it.

The Card Reader wont be recognized unless 1.2 is installed.

Not true. I got the Microtech SCSI PCD-47 card reader and I'm using OS 1.14C. Works fine if not better that OS 1.2.

@ Delroy... what type of card reader is it? Did you check the jumpers on it?
