How Come.....?????????????

I know that the mpc 2000xl is old but how come say if i have a beat in my head i try to do it on the mpc like bass clap snare snare the snare sounds horrible like im not hitting it right on time but i am i tryed poly mono but it doesnt even help so is it because its old so should i get an mpc 4000 but will it happen on there also

It's most likely you, lol. Maybe the samples have silence in the beginning, or the quantize is set to something weird.

its deff not cuz its old. classics have been made on this machine and new songs are too c'mon man!!!

If you are hitting the pads like you type then it is safe to assume it is you. As stated before look in the manual for quantize. Learn what it is and why your beats are off timing. Just know this...it is not the machine...its the user.

putting it as delicately as possible. it's the quantize, bruh. spending more money wont help u for something that simple. it's all in ur mind. some people can be cruel, but there are the few who'd like to actually help u. stay up, fam.

quantasize schmantasize! if you can make a hot beat in your head that's four bars you should be able to tap out the beat in four bars with the quantasize on OR off. The quantasize does help if you don't have good timing. four bars should be rather simple to tap out and to keep on time. just make sure when it starts over you don't over lap the first drum tap you started with( if the quant is off). 8 bars would be for people who got a great sense of rythm and 16 with no quantasize is for expert lunch room school table tappers. lmaoo
