Triggering Battery with mpc 2kl

hello everyone, i know this has prolly been asked before, but im looking for somethin a lil different. I have my mpc 2kxl right? but what i really wanna do is be able to make a drum beat on the 2kxl , and have that link up with battery 3(in pro tools) and trigger the battery sounds on my computer, thus keeping all the same groove quantizes etc etc from the mpc, but not having to save all those drum kits on my 2kx's measly memory
i would really appreciate some assistance on this one.

in pro tools just make an instrument track with Battery inserted on it.
then set the track to recieve Midi data from one of your MIDI interface inputs where you connected the MIDI OUT of the MPC.
Then on the MPC you make for example Track-01 to send data to an external MIDI output by selecting for example MIDI Device-1a ...
Then you record your MIDI Data on the instrument track...
Or just record the audio from the instrument track on a separate audio track if you don't care for the MIDI data and all you want to do is make audio loops....

You want Unit A to trigger Unit B.

How do you do that?? through midi!
