HELP!!!! My Zip Disk Won't Read!!!

Okay, so I did a show this past weekend and used my MPC 2000xl for my click tracks. It was working just fine, then the next night but it said "Wait..." for several second, then "detecting memory". Then when I go to load my stuff up, it said "no floppy device". Can anybody tell me what could be wrong and how I can fix this? I have several projects going on and I NEED my MPC like NOW...Please help me!!!

I need some serious help here guys....my zip drive isn't being recognized, any ideas on how to fix it?

welcome to the wonderful world of zip drives. i cant even count how many drives went faulty on me over the years! i cant even find cheap old zip drives any more.

Well I guess imma have to get rid of it and get a 2500 or something. I mean I love my mpc, but i need a reliable model...and floppy disk just won't do...
