TRYING NEW SAMPLER...

Ive had and rocked the 2000xl for a few years now. i would never make a switch and have no problems with it! i got a good deal on a mint asr x pro ,which i should be getting any day now.basically bought it for somethin else to mess around with plus heard the filters were crazy.anyone here have both asr x pro and 2000xl ? is the workflow similar at all ?would hooking them up together benefit.....or, am i gonna hate it and keep it real with my xl?

midi it up to the 2000XL

use the 2000XL as the master and the ASR as the slave.

best of both worlds. i use an ASR-10 with the 2000XL. beast combo. ensoniqs filters, effects an sound are real good.

yeah i cant wait , i also got the ram upgrade and made some room on my desk (that thing is huge)how much can u save on a floppy(1.44 mb) ? i dont care if you have to use a sh!tload of discs ,but i was wondering ...like longest stereo sample on a disc?

i know Kanye uses an asr 10 with a 2k classic, and it seems to be workin pretty well for him. im sure the pro will be pretty dope too

Those ASR's has a dope sound! But the sequencer is not too fun to work with... Interface has very few buttons and the two jog-wheels gets worn out very quick. Pads feels like plastic.

Were you the one that swiped that ASR-X Pro from Ebay for like $150? Had my eye on that but the wifey would bug with any more old Ensoniq isht arriving at our door.
