Help this new user please.

When I press the pad twice it overlaps so I went to poly and turned the note off, but now I have to hold down the pad for my sample to finish playing.
How do I change this so I can trigger the whole sample by just hitting once like before, but without that overlap? and how can I do this for all the pads?

Also.. I have tons of samples on cd's, and I copied couple of samples to a zip disk and loaded into my MPC, but I don't hear anything on my pads. Do I have to assign each sound to the pads? If that is so.. I'm not having any luck on it. How about programs like MPC editor?
Would it be easier to just set everything in the MPC editor, and save it as pgm file?

ima help you, but you gotta read a manual, or use the search feature. These questions you are asking are like, rudimentary skills for an mpc user. I realize your just starting but damn. you lucky im answerin your questions too, because most members would pass up this question.

you want to set your overlap to mono

yes you have to assign your damn sounds to a pad. when you sample, and name the sample, you can also pick which pad to assign to.

I've read the manual until my eyes popped out trying to get the answer, and the frustration brought me here.

How do I setup my mpc in order to use my radium controller to trigger sounds that are more logical to play with keys(guitar, bass,etc)??

i believe thats a midi question, and im not too hip too midi. maybe if you post that question in the "mpc studio environments" someone could help. good question, though.

nah goto the recycle tutorial in www.mpc-tutor.com and use the blank program that comes with the second download pack. Or check out the multisamples tutorial. Oh and program editor is rugged. You can do all you programs and export the waves to a zip disk. And you can set stuff like MONO and ish on it.
