Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Okay...i have asked everyone possible. i have looked into every forum possible except this one.

I have my midi lines from my mpc running into my Digi 002. I have my midi out going from my korg into a midisport interface.

the sounds INSIDE protools play. the sounds coming out of my mpc and keyboard DON'T. HOWEVER the test sounds DO PLAY.

i have the stereo L/R out going into the Line instrument 1 & 2 with Quarter inch plugs just like the manual said.

I have tried everything and am ready to throw this stuff out the window!!

Help...please?

If I'm understanding you correctly you want to sync your mpc and korg with whats going on in you protools session. For example you have a 8 bar loop going on in protools with a piano and bassline and now you want to create a midi audio track in protools and use the sounds from your mpc and korg. Are you also looking to control your protools with your MPC so when you hit the rec on the mpc it triggers protools?

sounds like a mess!!! j/k it's pretty easy actually... go to the Sync function menu on your mpc... set the midi in sync to "Midi Time Clock" and the frame rate @ 24-30 whichever doesn't matter as long as you match it with your Pro-Tools... then go into Pro-Tools and go to the "Setup" menu go to Midi, set up your midi ins and outs (should just check a box for each midi port on your 002) then go to Setup/Peripherals and set your MTC generator port to which ever midi out is going into you MPC... then go to Setup/Session and set your Framerate to the desired settings 24-30 or whatever, select the function "Sync using MTC" and when you press play on your Pro-Tools the MPC will play it's internal sequence at the Master tempo of Pro-Tools.... if you have led lights on the face of your 002 for midi in/out the outs should light up or flash when the midi signal is sent through..... make sense?
