Midi help

ok yes i searches this an yes i read the mannuel i just had a copy printed today.First off i have gotn my 2kxl to record my keyboard but its a on and off thing sometimes it records an sumtimes it doesnt.i have it midi hansshaked to my korg m50 i belive i have the korg setup right.But s far as the mpc what should it be set on (midi wise)midi time code or midi clock.ive tried both an it only records the korgs defualt seq patch with is a grand piano.the korg is set up just like the triton family so if anyone is familar with it can u help me out.there must be something im doing wrong each time.

Each korg program must be set to a unique midi channel 1-16.
Each midi track on mpc must be set to midi type track and use device number same as korg program midi channel.

Now you can record korg midi data on that mpc midi type track.

don't make the mistake of running the korg in sequencer mode and mpc in sequencer mode, many people
do that and it's not supposed to work like that.

With the above way I mentioned you'll be using the korg as a sound module.

i thought it was suppose to be in seq mode so that the mpc knows which track it is on.

ok new problem when i chage the patch the first bar changes to that sound.

how do u assign a midi channel to each patch
