2000xl differ by year?

okay i met with a guy today that has a 2kxl 32memory,8 outputs and internal zip drive.the display has a little crack not to big of a deal still functions looks like new the only question i have is he said hes had it for 4 years,i mean really looks almost brand new my question is there a diff in the current 2kxl's that i will be missing out with this one? it comes with a nice hard case and the literature and power wire and disc for 850$ let me no if good deal.So far best deal. Just worried if i buy if i will be missing out on any good options i will want in the future?
