Let me tell you why you may run into a problem putting both in your MPC. The NDISK requires you to run 1.14 in order to access the partitions but most of the IDE card readers (not all) require 1.20. Akai stripped the partitions out of 1.20 (for some stupid reason), so you'll only get 1GB of storage out of the NDISK if you run 1.20.
Unless you put a SCSI card reader in your MPC (or an IDE card reader that works with 1.14), you won't be able to run 1.14 and get the full 9GB of storage space from the NDISK. If you are cool with only 1GB, then you can put the NDISK and an IDE card reader in and run 1.20.
BTW, I am almost ready with my MPC2000XL custom mounting kit for the NDISK. It is a little "shelf" that attaches to the side of the case over where the F/ROM board goes. It's okay to have the 8 out board in but if you have the F/ROM, it may not fit.
