insurance

I havent but you can get renters insurance that will cover all thats in your house. If you have allstate or farmers car insurance these companies usually carry home and life insurance, you should be able to add it to your policy for less than finding a saparate company that does just equipment.

got all my gear insured with abbey....£13 a month no excess....too good cheape not to do......its all under contents insurnace...no special policy- you can get your policy extended to protect your stuff when its away nfrom your house....

Insure it as a computer or list it as a computer. The more emphasis on "musical instrument" will cause the prices to go up.

ive got renters insurance......i paid around 180 bucks for the whole year. Basically though youve got to have detailed pictures, or reciepts of all your equipment. Definately take pictures though, incase of a fire, you dont loose your reciepts too or keep them in a separate spot ya know.

Anyways pictures are always good too becuase what if some stole your mpc and all your cables? do you know how many and of what cables you have? WEll anyways ive got probably $100 or so just in cables, and i wouldnt be able to know exactly or prove that i did, unless i had pictures.
