2000xl Power supply voltage mystery..

Well I remember when I bought mine I asked around here and most people agreed it had a universal power supply (100-240v, 50/60hz).
However when mine arrived it strangely had a sticker saying "120v 60hz" - i peeled this off and underneath it had 100-240v

Now my man is trying to buy one but all the ones in america seem to be 120, not universal..


Has anyone experienced the same thing with the sticker ie it has a universal supply but isn't marked as such?

Please help so my mate can get a proper 2000xl that can work on our 240v

no mystery here
all them stihs are 100-240
i bought mine in the us and used it there
moved to europe still using the same one without any type of converters.
the sticker on the american one is to indicate it is to be sold in the us
you know, the way stupid warnings are put on stuff so that people don't hurt themselves thinking too much

I bought my 2000XL online from the states and used it in So. Korea, England, California, Norway, Germany and now Qatar.
No transformer was needed.

Yea I checked it out and all MPC2000xl's have multi voltage power supplies,

It depends where you buy one, they will be shipped with a sticker with the Voltage for that country..

I tried it, nothing blew up ....
