After completing a song on 2000xl.....

I was just wondering.. what are my options after I complete a song on 2000xl? What is the next stage for recording vocals, mixing, etc..

my next step would be to track the beat into the computer if I wasnt using a computer to track........ In my case I use a computer now to record music and vocals....... After I track a beat out I link it midi to the computer this way the vocalist can lay the vocals and then if necessary I can change the sequences to fit the vocals better.

Would something like fostex MR-8 be sufficient?
Does getting the MR-8 mean that I can only use 6 tracks, and use the other 2 to bounce which mean that I can only have 6 tracks for each sequence?

So after I track it with something like the MR-8.. could I save it onto my computer as wav file, and take it to a studio if necessary?

thats how I work. You can record 2 tracks at once but you can play 8 back at once. Bouncing tracks mean that you put 2 tracks onto 1 So you can get like 64 virtual tracks. Like bounce 8 to 1 8 to 2 8 to 3 until you get all 8 tracks.
