cd scsi loading and saving sounds

aughite yall...gotta question...is it possible to use a cd scsi to load and save sounds-sequences...etc...like the scsi zip...speak back

i dont think so. i think the cd drive is for loading samples/sounds with. but dont take my word for it. i never heard of saving programs and shii onto an external cd drive. good question though..i would like to know my damn self

you were right with your first assumption. the mpc does not have the ability to burn on to CDRs. you can still use a SCSI burner to load samples but that function has not been written into the mpc's OS yet. in order for the mpc to do that it needs to know how to communicate with burners and unless there is a miricle of an OS update that will never happen

however, if you are apt to using CD's as a storage or achieving method i highly recommend it. the media is alot cheaper than the average zip disk and has a higher capacity.

the ideal setup is a combination of zip and cdrom. the zip for working projects the cdrom for the finished ones (or for new sample storage).

Someone knows if the S5000 can do this?

i doubt it...think its the same thing...you need to use a prog like translator or something similar to take an iso image of your scsi hard drive to burn onto a cd....
