I have endless amounts of drums all wav files in folders on my computer. I have my trusty (knock on wood) internal zip drive in my MPC 2kxl and do not have that on my mac. basically to get my drums from computer onto my MPC ive been sampling them individually... sucks to be me. i want to get my drums on my MPC quicker.

Im in the market for an external card reader for the mpc.
if i get a usb card reader for my computer and the an external card reader for my mpc to switch a card from one source to another would this work?

i ask these questions because i really dont know what im looking for.... just something thats read CF cards and is mac friendly i guess?

Most USB flash readers will work with a mac as they dont require drivers.

as for the internal flash reader its as easy as saving them on the mac then putting it into the mpc and loading them up.
but remember they are not hot swappable .

Upgrade to a cf reader in the mpc and get a usb card reader ($8.99 @ Radio Shack)....Make sure the wavs from the mac are 16-bit 44.1kHz and youre good to go.

awesome thanks guys!

however Id like to stick with my internal zip for the time being since i literally have about 2 gigs organized on zip disks all with my beats on them. this probably a dumb Q but is there an external card reader for the MPC? ill check out scsi4samplers

also, not hot swappable - meaning i must power down my MPC to change cards?
