Copying Tracks on 2000XL

I was just wondering if it was possible to copy the contents of 1 track to another, and switch the program.

The main reason i wan't to be able to do this is to copy the low end of a sample. For example:

Track 1 - Sample chopped over 16 pads played for 4 bars.

Track 2 - I would like the same pattern for 4 bars, but with a different program (e.g the low end of the chopped sample).

It's not a major thing, as i usually just replay the chops underneath, but i was wondering if was still possible.

i didnt get to deep into the question but have you tried just using different seq's? you can also window key copy on the seq and copy everything and then mute the track and make a new one for the seq. i always just make a grip of seq with all change ups ect and then tie it all together in song mode, or just in the tracking.

I've actually been using the MPC for about 2 years, and never really thought to ask this question until now, but i thought it will help the workflow. I don't actually use the MP in song mode. I make everything on the one sequence, and use the mutes when i track out, or just track out one by one, and create in my DAW.

You know what? if reckon if i just copy a track (using window - copy) it will probably save and transfer across all of the sequencing from that track.
