Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Okay so i've decided to look at getting a CF Card Reader drive... as I already have a CF Card reader in my PC and I figured that this will enable pretty smooth data transfer...

I haven't used the CF cards before so I thought i'd see what everyone else thinks (in comparison to CD'S, ZIP etc)? I've read a few posts on here and it seems to be the way to go.

However one thing I wanted to clarify is... if I buy sound library cd's etc will I have to upload them to my PC first and then transfer to CF Card then to MPC? (I can't think of a quicker way).

Thanks

you can't go cd to mpc.

format cf in pc, fat/fat16, use ONLY 8 character length filenames on the cf card. that card will be readable in pc and mpc.
