problem with floppy

everytime i turn go to turn my mpc on it says theres a floppy error, so i turn it off take out the floppy and when it says to insert i put it in, but then i lose everything that i did the last time i used it. how do i fix this?

you are using the regular mpc 2000?

yes i am and now it says that all the time no matter what. its unusable, kinda sucks cause i just bought it yesterday for 350 :/

floppies suck. they simply are... sh!t.


listen man, go down to your office supplise store or school supply store.. buy a few brand new floppy disks. they are rare these days, but they should still sell maybe 10 packs.

does it need to have the mpc 2000 os on it?

well from what I gather... you need to boot the OS from floppy each time you start the machine.. no?

so probably you should. just see if that helps...


i believe that was why they invented the f-rom upgrade. but that is tough to find and it's expensive.
